Ratified! Maui health strike ends after 52 days

After nearly two months of walking the picket line our members were sore and exhausted But they were never alone

With the support of the community, our workers were able to secure a new contract with better pay. Now they can get back to delivering quality care to all of Maui. And nothing’s more important than that.

Special Mahalo to:

  • Maui Conty Council, Councilman Gabe Johnson & U.S. Representative Jill Tokuda
  • Maui Mayors Mike Victorino and James “Kimo” Apana & Family
  • UPW State Executive Board and Members
  • And finally, the UPW Members at Maui Health System for their strength in solidarity throughout the 52-day strike.
