After years of being postponed because of the pandemic, the AFL-CIO Golf Tournament returned on Friday, September 16, 2022. UPW State Director Kalani Werner came out to thank members in attendance for their assistance in making the AFL-CIO golf event a success. “These are individuals who work among us, beside us everyday,” he said. “They go above and beyond their calling and they come out and help with the other locals to assist them with their events.”

In addition to helping with prepping the swag bags for attendees golfing on behalf of the many sponsors, including UPW, volunteers managed Par 3 competitions on holes 3, 13, and 16. Golfers on the green and closest to the hole won prizes at an evening banquet. Congratulations to the winner of the 2022 AFL-CIO Golf Tournament Iron Chef Challenge, “King of the Wings” Brother Troy Benevides from IBEW 1357!
