Value in Community Outreach

With our unique culture and value system, our island state is unlike any other in the union. It is our Hawaiian tradition that attracts visitors from around the world to our island home. The spirit of Aloha is at the heart of Hawaiian custom, and it is important that we perpetuate our legacy.

As stewards of this land, it is our duty to ensure the kupuna (elderly), keiki (children), ʻohana (families), and ʻāina (land) are cared for. This is more than an act of aloha; it is one of kuleana, of responsibility to share one’s resources. If everyone participates, it works.
