Rally for Fair Wages: Support Maui Health System Workers
March 6 @ 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
Our brave brothers and sisters at Maui Health System facilities have stood firm, holding the line and demanding fair treatment from their Employer. They continue to show up daily, reminding their Employer that they are present and resilient in their pursuit of a fair contract.
On Monday, March 6th, the Employer has agreed to meet with our Negotiating Committee to continue negotiations. We have an opportunity to show the Employer that we have a solid and supportive community behind us. That’s why we are inviting all members of United Public Workers, including our public sector employees, to join us in rallying in support of our brothers and sisters at the Maui Memorial Medical Center, Kula Hospital, and Lanai Community Hospital.
We are calling on you to join us and embolden our picket lines with fresh faces from the community. We need your support to station volunteers at picket lines and to assist with meals and dispensing water and refreshments. By joining us, you will help remind the community that we are Union Strong, Maui Strong, and UPW Strong.
We understand that everyone has busy schedules, but even if you can spare an hour or two, your presence would make a significant difference in our fight for a fair contract. We will have strike signs and refreshments for volunteers from 7 am to 7 pm.
Please stand with us on Monday, March 6th, and help us show our Employer that we are a unified force determined to secure a living wage and fair treatment for our members. Thank you for your continued support.
